We're a local used-car dealership. We take privacy seriously because we'd want the same when we shop. Here's exactly what happens with information you share on this site, in plain English.

What we collect

• What you tell us — your name, phone number, email, and message when you fill out a form, send a chat message, or tap "Call." None of those fields are pulled from anywhere — we collect what you type.
• Which car page you came from — so a sales rep knows which vehicle you're asking about.
• Your IP address and browser type — recorded with each submission. We use it to prevent spam (we block IPs that repeatedly send junk) and to fix bugs.

What we don't collect

• We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking pixel.
• We don't share, sell, or rent your information to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
• We don't follow you across the internet. No retargeting ads.
• We don't set any tracking cookies. The only browser-side data is a short session ID used to keep your live-chat conversation running while you browse our site — it's deleted when you close the tab.

YouTube videos

Some car pages have a walkaround video embedded from YouTube. We use the privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie.com), which doesn't load YouTube cookies until you actually press play. If you play a video, you're then in a normal YouTube session with their rules — see Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Customer inquiries and chat transcripts are kept while we're working on your request, then archived for our records (typically up to two years) to handle warranty follow-ups and service questions. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will — see below.

Your rights

You can email or call us anytime and ask:

• What information we have about you
• To correct anything that's wrong
• To delete it entirely (we keep the bare minimum required by state law and your purchase paperwork, if any)
• To stop us from contacting you again

For California residents, the same rights are guaranteed under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We don't sell your personal information, so there's no "Do Not Sell" link required — but you can confirm that with us directly.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Security

Submitted information is sent over HTTPS and stored on our own server, not in a third-party CRM. Access is limited to Lake Motor Group staff who need it to handle your inquiry.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top.
